IT Service Professional

About this Job: IT Service Professionals (known as LocalTechs) work directly with consumer ‘walk-in’ customers who bring in any Apple/Mac products and PC laptops/desktops for service at one of our retail locations. LocalTechs rotate duties and tasks throughout the day and they may include iPhone, Mac, and PC diagnostics & repairs, checking in customer devices, having conversations with customers, and making thorough, detailed notes. Excellent customer service and technical consultation skills are a must, along with being at least a mid-level IT technician with associated knowledge and skills.  As an Apple Authorized Service Provider, some specific Apple duties will include performing diagnostics and repairs on Mac’s, iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches. Besides being able to turn screws, our LocalTechs must also be able to think quick on their feet, be courteous at all times, and offer competent solutions that help our customers.

We are growing and always on the hunt for talented and entrepreneurial-minded IT Technicians and Manager Trainee candidates who are looking for a great IT experience opportunity. You must have a vast level of knowledge covering the full product line we support. Regarding being an AASP: everyone on the floor must be Apple certified, but if candidate does not have this when hired, we will provide if selected.

LocalTech Desired Qualifications:

  • Apple Certified Mac and iOS Technician preferred (training will be provided, if selected)
  • Mid-to-advanced level PC diagnostics and repair experience
  • Basic-to-mid level iPhone repair knowledge and/or experience
  • Familiarity with Apple and Mac products a plus
  • Possess friendly customer service and communication skills
  • Be able to think on your feet and diagnose problems quickly
  • Basic wired/wireless networking knowledge and/or experience a plus
  • Possess strong documentation and writing skills
  • Able to work in a close team environment with positive attitude
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs and climb 30ft ladder
  • Pre-employment screenings required: DMV, Drug and Background
